Frequently Asked Question
Does it hurt?
Most often, the procedure is well-tolerated, and many clients relax and even fall asleep during it. However, there are individual sensitivity differences that might cause some discomfort.
It's not painful, but it can be uncomfortable. In any case, if you experience any unpleasant sensations, I always apply an anesthetic to the treatment area for numbing.
Are touch ups included?
The touch-up procedure is performed no earlier than 4 weeks after the initial procedure and no later than 3 months (12 weeks) after the initial procedure.

It is not included in the base price.

Some clients don't require a touch-up as their skin heals perfectly after the first procedure - this depends on individual skin characteristics and body response. Additionally, I don't include the touch-up in the base price as this allows splitting the payment and making it more comfortable for clients.
Why do I need a touch up?
Skin is a living organ, and pigment is a foreign substance. Our body fights against its presence, which is why some pigment is rejected. Depending on individual body characteristics, retention rates vary from 40 to 80 percent.
A touch-up allows us to perfect the design, adjust the shape, and set the color for longer-lasting results and your complete satisfaction. Unfortunately, the artist cannot control retention rates, but is always ready to correct minor imperfections during the touch-up session that result from the body's rejection process.
How do I proceed if I have previous work done by another artist?
Previous work may complicate achieving the desired result. I need to see you in person for a more detailed answer and understand your goal. Then I can propose a plan that will best help you achieve your desired outcome.
Please note that touch-ups are not possible on work done by another artist - touch-ups are only available after my initial procedure.
How long is the appointment?
I always allocate extra time - approximately 2.5 to 3 hours - as each appointment involves a personalized approach. I need to listen to all your preferences and understand what result you want.
I also always offer several shape options and draw multiple sketches so you can see how they look on your face. Then we select a custom color based on your wishes and skin characteristics.
Additionally, if you have sensitive skin, I follow a protocol that requires working more slowly to avoid causing extra irritation.
Can I get this done if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
No, pregnancy and breastfeeding are absolute contraindications for this procedure.
How old do I need to be?
Legally, you must be 18 years old to receive any type of permanent makeup.
How long is the healing process?
For eyebrows, the scabbing comes off within 5-8 days, depending on your body. After the scabs fall off, the color is light and barely visible. It only stabilizes and reaches its final shade by weeks 4-6. So the visible healing process lasts up to 8 days, while internal healing continues for up to 6 weeks.

Lips peel faster, around day 3-4, gently and almost imperceptibly. However, the internal processes still occur, and color stabilization will happen around weeks 4-6.
Will I look normal afterwards?
Immediately after the procedure, the treated area will look unfamiliar and might be slightly uncomfortable for you. There may be mild swelling and redness.
You might also feel a slight burning sensation in the treated area. Usually, these sensations pass within 24-48 hours, depending on your body's individual characteristics.
Most of my clients comfortably go to work, visit gyms, and live their normal lives. So there's no need to take time off work! 😊
How long does PMU last?
This depends on your body and lifestyle. It depends on how much you like to tan, get peels, and how you take care of your skin and your permanent makeup.
Usually, it lasts 12-24 months. I recommend scheduling a refresh as soon as you feel that the shade isn't sufficient anymore and you want to add more vibrancy
Why did my brows/lips disappear and come back?
This is due to the natural process of skin regeneration. Think about when you get a scratch somewhere. The wound begins to heal, darkens, and forms a scab. When the scab falls off, you see a light area of skin without melanin, but gradually the color evens out and becomes the same as the rest of your body.
The same happens with permanent makeup. After the scabs fall off, the pigment seems to hide and there's no melanin in the skin. Around 4-6 weeks, we begin to see a more saturated appearance.
Can I get Lip Blush if I have filler?
Yes, filler is not a contraindication for the procedure. The only consideration is that there should be a 4-week interval between getting filler and permanent makeup. The order of procedures doesn't matter
Can I get Lip Blush if I have dark/high melanin lips?
Yes - this procedure is done in several stages. During the first 1-2 sessions, we neutralize the dark shade. After the lips have been sufficiently lightened, we can select a more pink or red shade.
However, unfortunately, when working with lips that have high melanin content, we cannot guarantee lightening, and in some cases, it's simply impossible to lighten the lips to the desired tone.
To evaluate your specific case, you can schedule a free consultation or contact me for an online consultation.
Can I bring my child with me to my appointment?
Unfortunately, children can distract the artist, and any error in our work is unacceptable.
Therefore, according to our regulations, we cannot accommodate clients with children.
According to sanitary rules, we cannot allow anyone else in the area where the session is being conducted.
Do you accept care credit?
No. Unfortunately, permanent makeup is not an eligible expense so we are unable to accept care credit.
Can this be covered by my HSA?
No. The IRS explicitly labels cosmetic surgery as ineligible on page 15 of Publication 502 (https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p502.pdf)
This procedure cannot be covered by an HSA.
